A while ago, here in fact, I admitted to being bi-beverage. I also mentioned our coffee business, which was quite short-lived as tea put it in it’s place.
There is actually a blend of coffee called TD Smooth, which is only available at The Devotea’s Pop-Up Tea Shop. But I digress.
I have something important to say.
It’s a nice day outside.. ah, where was I? Lovely weather we’re having.
OK, no more beating around the bush. No more distraction and side issues, which reminds me of a conversation I was having about leopards with a man from…
NO. NO MORE. SPIT IT OUT!
Ok, coffee, I’m talking to you. And what I mean to say, and please don’t take offence, and don’t think badly of me, and I don’t want to hurt you, but: it’s over.
No more latte; no more cappuccino. No sneaky mocha, no illicit affigato. No more.
And it’s not you, it’s me.
I love the taste of Guatemalan Marogogype, or a lovely Kenyan Limu. Or even a Hawaiian Kona, three-quarter roasted and served neat or with foamy milk: stupendous.
But I can’t help but notice that each and every coffee I enjoy is followed by a migraine.
So don’t take offence coffee:- you’ve been great bit on the side, but I don’t need the headaches.
This was very brave. *sniff* Very brave, indeed. I had one cup of peaberry with my cousin the other day while brainstorming. I was up until 2AM.
As to headaches. One beer gives me that anymore these days…but I’m not quite ready to give a farewell letter to it yet. Not until I’ve had one of yours.
So courageous… Did it answer you after such a vaillant claim?
I’m sorry, but Coffee is BAD NEWS. I’ve known so many people (including myself) who’ve simply had to break it off with Coffee. Headaches, nerves, even the expense: Coffee is just not the one for many people. Sure, Coffee is popular–that rush, that richness, the slight bitterness that makes the sweetness even sweeter. But such joys are fleeting, and even though Coffee can be found everywhere and anywhere, at any time, do you really want to get involved with a substance that can be found with almost anyone? Maybe we should stop blaming ourselves for these failed relationships & instead blame the one who is causing the one who is CAUSING the problems: that tramp Coffee!
My 2 leaves worth or 2 beans worth is that I’m bi-beverage and not afraid to come out of the closet. It’s flat white or cappuccino in the morning and green tea enter afternoon making for a better night’s sleep. That’s my take on the bean or you can leaf it…
’twas about time matey! I could have told you that eons ago – anything bad must be due to the coffee.
I am bi-beverage! I love coffee, but it doesn’t love me back and I am often ill after having it. As a result i hold out for goof coffee only.
You’re not going to like this then!: http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/1346182/yunnan-chinese-province-famous-tea-now-looks-coffee
I believe Yunnan had coffee before it had tea. And I’ve got a lifetime’s worth of Yunnan tea in storage.
The thing about coffee is that she doesn’t care about you as much as you have cared about her. It takes a strong person to take a stand and not be abused by such a tease. Bravo, Devotea, bravo.
